Who we are
Mixnote (listed on the App Store as “DJ Transitions: Mixnote”) is made by EBY Apps, run by Enes Buğra Yenidünya in Istanbul, Turkey. For anything about this policy, email support@ebyapps.com.
Your library stays on your device
Everything you enter — track titles, artists, versions, genres, BPM and key, transition details and notes, cue labels, chain names, the names of your own techniques and everything you type into search — is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad. It is not uploaded to us, there is no account, and there is no cloud sync. Your library may be included in device backups you make with Apple, under Apple's terms.
What we collect
To understand how the app is used and to fix problems, Mixnote uses Google's Firebase services. What they receive is limited by design: every analytics event is built from a fixed list of categories, true/false values and numeric ranges, and the app has no way to send free text.
Anonymous usage measurements (Firebase Analytics)
- Which screens you open and which features you use
- Whether a transition has details — never what those details are
- The size of your library as a range, such as 11–20 — never the exact number
- Whether you have Pro and whether Apple Music suggestions are on
- App version, build and network state (online or offline)
- Standard information Firebase collects automatically, such as device model, operating system version, an app-instance identifier and an approximate region
Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
If the app crashes, a report with technical details of the crash, your device model, OS version and app version is sent so we can fix it.
Performance (Firebase Performance Monitoring)
Timing measurements such as app start-up and how long certain operations take, along with device information. Firebase uses the IP address to derive an approximate country for this data.
Configuration (Firebase Remote Config)
The app fetches settings such as the free-tier limits and feature switches. This request includes basic device and app attributes.
What we never collect
Track titles, artists, versions, genres, notes, cue labels, chain names, custom technique names, search terms and the contents of anything you export are never sent to us or to our service providers. This is enforced in the app's code and verified by automated tests on every change.
Purchases
Mixnote Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details. The offer screen is provided by Superwall, which receives device and app information (such as device model, OS version, language and app version), your subscription status and how you interact with the offer screen, so it can display and measure it.
Apple Music suggestions
Filling in tracks from the Apple Music catalog is optional and off until you turn it on. When it is on, what you type in the track picker is sent to Apple to return matching songs, under Apple's privacy policy. We don't receive those search terms. Typing a track in by hand never involves Apple Music.
Support email and diagnostics
If you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. The in-app “Contact support” option opens a draft you can read before sending, and it never includes your library. If you choose to attach the optional diagnostics file, it contains the app and OS version, the number of tracks, transitions and chains, and your app settings — no track names, notes or other library content.
Exports
JSON and CSV exports are created on your device and leave it only if you share them yourself.
Tracking and advertising
Mixnote shows no ads, does not use the advertising identifier, does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we never sell data.
Retention
Your library stays on your device until you delete it or the app. Analytics, crash and performance data are kept by Google for a limited period under the retention settings of our Firebase project, then deleted.
Your choices and rights
- Delete the app to remove your library and its local data from the device.
- Use Export in Settings to take a full copy of your library at any time.
- Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or Turkey's KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, or to object to its processing. Email support@ebyapps.com and we will help.
Children
Mixnote is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
