How it works

Two taps now. Every detail later.

Discover a mix, capture it before the moment passes, add detail when you have a minute — and pull it back up the next time either track is in your hands.

    01

    Capture

A From track and a To track. That's a saved transition — nothing else is required, so it takes seconds in the booth.

  2. GreatLift32 barsBass swap

    All optional.

    02

    Enrich

Mix points, bars, technique, energy, outcome, cues and notes. Add them now, add them later, or never.

    Recall

Every track remembers what you've mixed into it and out of it. Pick one up and the options are already there.

Anatomy of a transition

Remember how you did it.

The feeling stays with you. The details don't. Mixnote keeps the exact recipe — in a vocabulary built for mixing, so it's fast to enter and easy to read back mid-set.

Mix in

Blend

Technique

Which hot cues you hit, on which deck.
Outcome
Great5
Great, Works, Retry or Avoid — plus a rating out of five.
Notes
“Bass swap on the 16. The pads carry it the whole way.”

Directional by design

A → B is not
B → A.

Mixing out of a track is a different move from mixing into it. Mixnote keeps each direction as its own record — and a pair can hold as many transitions as you've found ways to mix it.

Versions are real tracks.

Extended, radio edit, remix, bootleg and your own edit stay distinguishable. Nothing is ever auto-merged.

Tracks

Every track knows its neighbours.

Open any track and see what you've played after it and what leads into it — each with its outcome, energy and blend. The next move is already written down.

  • From this track — what you’ve played next
  • Into this track — what leads here
  • BPM, key and version kept with every track

Chains

Build runs you’ve already proven.

String tracks into chains — a warm-up, a peak-hour stretch, a closing run. Every link shows how that transition went, so you know the whole run holds before you play it.

  • Every link carries its outcome, rating and energy
  • Drag to reorder, or use the move actions on each row
  • A line of context for when to reach for it

Search & filters

Find it fast.

Search titles, artists and genres, then narrow it down until only the right mix is left. It all runs on your device, so it works even with no signal.

  • Outcome, energy, technique and minimum rating
  • BPM range, Camelot key, genre and blend length
  • Favourites only, when you want the ones you trust

Built for mixing

It speaks DJ.

A shared vocabulary keeps your notes quick to enter, easy to compare and searchable later — with room for your own words wherever you need it.

Outcome

How it actually went.

  • RetryClose — worth another attempt

Energy

Warm, neutral, cool — a description, not a judgement. A drop can be exactly the right move.

  • LiftEnergy lifts
  • HoldEnergy holds steady
  • DropEnergy comes down

Technique

Eight built in. Name as many of your own as you like.

Not a deck.Not a course.Not an AI recommender.Not a library manager.

Your taste is the source of truth. Mixnote just remembers what you decided worked.

Privacy

Your crate stays yours.

No account. No backend. No sync. Your library lives on your device, and every core feature works in airplane mode. Telemetry is limited to counts and categories by design — the app has no way to send free text, even by accident.

Stays on your device

  • Track titles, artists and versions
  • Transition notes and cue labels
  • Chain names and descriptions
  • Everything you type into search

Sent as anonymous measurements

  • Which screens you open
  • Whether a transition had details — not what they were
  • How many transitions you have, as a range like 11–20
  • Crash reports and app version

Counts are sent as ranges, because an exact library size is a surprisingly strong identifier.

Never collected by us

  • Your Apple Music search terms
  • Anything you export — it leaves only when you share it
  • Your name, email or any account — there isn’t one

FAQ

Good questions.

Something else on your mind? Visit support — every message is read by the person who builds the app.

Does Mixnote analyse my audio, BPM or key?

No. Mixnote never touches audio. You can note a track's BPM and key yourself — or leave them blank. It remembers what you decided worked, it doesn't guess.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up, no login and no server holding your library. Open the app and start saving.

Does it work offline?

Completely. Your library lives on your device, so every core feature works in airplane mode, in the booth, or in a basement with no signal.

Does it connect to Rekordbox, Serato, Traktor or Engine?

Not today — Mixnote is a memory, not a deck, and it sits alongside whatever you play on. You can export your whole library as JSON or CSV at any time, for free.

Where does track info come from?

Type it in, or turn on Apple Music suggestions to fill in title, artist and artwork from the catalog. Manual entry always works, with or without Apple Music.

What is free, and what is Pro?

Your first 10 transitions and 2 chains are free, and export is free for everyone. Pro removes the limits, monthly or yearly, with the price shown in your local currency in the app.

What happens to my transitions if Pro ends?

Nothing is locked away. Everything you've saved stays readable, editable and exportable whether or not you have Pro.

Is A → B the same as B → A?

No — and that is on purpose. Mixing out of a track is a different move from mixing into it, so each direction is its own record. A pair can hold as many transitions as you have ways of mixing it.

Your next great transition deserves to be remembered.
